Rotary Club of North Fulton hosted an appreciation lunch for the Alpharetta Public Safety Department on Tuesday, January 31st. The East Cobb Rotary Club was honored to be awarded the Community Leader MLK Humanitarian Award by Wheeler High School on January 13. The club was one of four recipients of this year's award and very excited to be recognized for its involvement for the past seven years in Wheeler High School's AVID program. AVID (short for Advancement Via Individual Achievement) is a special program designed to increase the number of students who enroll and succeed in higher education and beyond. Through this partnership, hundreds of students have been taught life and study skills that have paved the way for college and life success.
