2026 4th of July Parade - water distribution
Griffin Daybreak partnered with Griffin Noonday to acquire donations of water and distribute during the 4th of July parade in an effort to assist with heat relief during this time in our community.
2026 Beat the Heat
Griffin Daybreak partnered with Griffin Noonday to distribute to the annual Beat the Heat event with the Spalding County Office of Homeland Security / Emergency Management. This event provides safety and preparedness information to the community, while providing water activities. Our team provided water to the participants.
2026 Fans for Heat Relief
Griffin Daybreak partnered with Griffin Noonday to donate funds and acquire box fans to distribute to those in the community in need of heat relief. These clubs partnered with Griffin Walmart and the Spalding County Office of Homeland Security / Emergency Management to acquire and distribute the fans.
Backpack packing for Coweta Family Connection
Members of the Newnan Rotary Club along with other community volunteers spent the afternoon packing backpacks for Coweta Family Connection with a goal of packing 750. These backpacks will be provided to students at the 5th Annual Back to School Bash and Backpack Giveaway.
Backpacks for Horizons Atlanta Scholars
>Before the July 13, 2026 meeting, the entire Buckhead Rotary Club rolled up its sleeves for a hands-on service project. In just 15 minutes, all 46 attending Rotarians stuffed 100 Buckhead Rotary backpacks with school supplies for first- and second-grade "scholars" in the Horizons Atlanta programs at The Temple, The Galloway School, and Atlanta International School.

Club Donated $400 to Operation Good Neighbor for those in Need
On November 18th, the Meriwether County Rotary Club made a heartfelt contribution by donating $400 to Operation Good Neighbor.
Established in 1982 by the Brotherhood Department of First Baptist Church in Manchester, Operation Good Neighbor is a beacon of compassion fueled by the unwavering dedication of its passionate volunteers. Operating from its welcoming location at 233 West Main Street in Manchester, this remarkable program actively collects donations. It provides essential clothing, nutritious food, and vital household items to those in need within the community.

Foundation Football Kickoff Social
The Meriwether County Rotary Club Foundation kicked off the football season in true community spirit with an enthusiastic Football Kickoff Social on Thursday, August 14, at the picturesque Fitzgerald Farms. The beautiful farm setting provided the perfect backdrop as members, friends, and guests gathered under a summer sky to celebrate fellowship, football, and the meaningful work of Rotary.
Griffin Spalding Schools - Day One
Griffin Daybreak is partnering with the Griffin Spalding Schools to assist in welcoming students back to school. Members will be stationed at various schools to assist with this event.
Horizons Atlanta Holiday Celebration
A Rotarian-led Holiday party for approximately 100 students enrolled in Horizons Atlanta programs at Atlanta International School (AIS), Galloway and The Temple. The three programs in close proximity to Buckhead. The event will be held on the AIS campus in December 2026 and will provide every participating student with a personally selected, age-appropriate wrapped gift, a visit and photograph with Santa Claus, festive refreshments, and a full afternoon of joy, connection, and celebration.
Horizons Atlanta Professional Development for Site Teachers + Leadership
Since its charter on March 23, 1951, the Rotary Club of Buckhead has answered the call of Service Above Self in Atlanta — seventy-five years of it, a milestone our club celebrates throughout this 2026–2027 Rotary year. As we mark our diamond anniversary, we can think of no more fitting tribute to our founders than a project that invests in peace exactly as District Governor Cynthia has challenged us to: not through words, but through service and action that address the root causes of conflict.

**Transformative Leadership Summer Camp**
From June 7 to June 11, 2025, Rotary District 6900 hosted a transformative five-day Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) summer camp at Georgia Southwestern University. Open to young leaders aged 15 to 18 from West Georgia, this event unites 96 ambitious students and 45 dedicated staff members from diverse backgrounds.

Griffin Daybreak has partnered with Spalding Collaborative to assist with meal packing that are distributive to local elementary schools.
Springtime of Peace: An Easter Egg Hunt in Piedmont Park
A hands-on day of service, hosting 250 children from the Boyce L. Ansley School and Horizons Atlanta for play, food, and celebration in Piedmont Park. Dozens of Rotarians will serve as event staff, activity leaders, and hosts—visibly living Rotary's service ideals in the community while giving these children an unforgettable day of joy and belonging.
Student Report Card One-on-One Conference at MHS & GHS
Meriwether Co Rotary Club Participates in High School Report Card Conference
On October 9th and 10th, and March 12th and 13th, Meriwether County Rotary Club members participated in one-on-one report card conferences with students from Manchester High School and Greenville High School. Rotarian members and other community leaders met with each student during the conferences to review their report card grades, provide career advice and support, and discuss their personal and school interests. This event aimed to offer students positive feedback and encouragement to excel academically.
