Atlanta Memorial Park is one of the largest parks in Atlanta and is the recipient of a grant from our Buckhead Parks Initiative. The park has beautiful walkways and is full of many varieties of trees. The Atlanta Memorial Park organization wants people who come to the park to be able to identify each kind of tree, and they're doing this by giving each tree a unique number. Enter that number on a custom-designed app on your phone, and you'll learn all about the tree.
Our job on Saturday morning, September 10th is to help them number the trees with those little metal tags. We'll meet at 9 AM and work until noon. You should plan to bring your own hammer.
Atlanta Memorial Park is along Northside Drive near Woodward Way and Peachtree Creek. We will meet near the corner of Woodward Way/Oldfield Road across from 664 Woodward Way. Volunteers can park on the park side of the street.
