Roswell's Family of Rotary Committee

With a heart for service, Roswell Rotary Club has a heart for each other too. We are a strong club that gets inside and behind a message or a need with full vibrato. Walking in partnership with this sense of service to our community, our district and our world, is a sense of intense caring for each other.  Past President Lynne Lindsay, with the full support of current President Trummie Lee Patrick III, has been the point person for our Family of Rotary Committee for years.

When a current or past member needs help, support or some messaging, they get a phone call directly.  Not only are offers of support made but also a specific and tailored strategy of care developed together.  The best next step may mean messaging out to the club for a MealTrain, prayers or other specific needs. Sometimes it may mean messaging to a small group for privacy and strategically unique caring support. With 200+ members, there is always a family experiencing crisis through a job loss, a death, or a life-pivoting diagnosis, etc.

Lynne has the institutional knowledge of wrapping Rotary love around each family and an empathetic heart for having gone through her own life-threatening medical crisis in the last few years.  In the last three weeks, three current or past members have passed.  Each family has expressed how much Roswell Rotary meant to the deceased and to please attend the funeral.  They also typically receive at least one meal and flowers.  Service Above Self must include caring for our own members and families overtly as stated on our weekly RotaScope newsletter.
